FERRIS - Rack Sales Manager Tim O’Connor is beyond excited about his new duties and promotion here with The Ellis County Press family.
"I’m very excited about the promotion and I look forward to bringing a lot of experience to the paper," said O’Conner.
O’Conner’s background goes way back to 1969 where he received his degree in Printing Management from Sam Houston University in Huntsville.
"I got my start working in printing in Dallas for seven years calling on advertisers as a sales rep before moving to Chicago."
From there O’Conner went on to work for the Catholic Church Extension for 25 years starting in advertising sells and working his way up to regional and finally district manager supervising 14 reps nationwide.
"We sold over 5 million calendars a year," said O’Conner.
O’Connor is also actively involved in Texas Civil Defense, a volunteer preparedness organzation, based in Red Oak,
O’Conner will still continue his duties as Rack Sales Manager until the position is filled.
"I’m very pleased to bring Tim [O’Conner] onto the advertising department," said Charles D. Hatfield Jr., publisher.
"He will be an asset in his new position as he is with everything else he does."
