Ennis downtown merchants to host Autumn Days in Ennis Fall Festival
Ennis – The 8th annual Autumn Days in Ennis Fall Festival will be held Oct. 17 from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. in downtown Ennis.
This free event will primarily be held on N.W. Main St., W. Knox Street and N. Dallas Street. Residents and visitors are invited to come out and enjoy this fun family festival, hosted by the Ennis Historic Downtown Merchants Association.
The Ennis Arts Commission will be the sponsor of the music stage, which will include a variety of live entertainment.
The children’s area at this festival offers several other fun activities. Chil-dren’s activities will include various fall themed arts and crafts, a petting zoo, pony rides, face pain-ting, Tiger Slide and other favorites will also be offered.
Other activities offered at this family festival are retail and arts and crafts vendors, delicious food and an opportunity to shop in the historic downtown district which features businesses that offer Czech heritage items, collect-ibles, antiques and much more.
"This is our 8th year to host this Fall Festival. This festival offers a chance for the family to have a fun day together," stated Nancy Swindell, President of the Ennis Historic Downtown Merchants Association.
"Scarecrow Lane," a special area where local Ennis merchants and organizations can promote their business or organization will also be available again this year.

or can be picked up at the Ennis Convention and Visitors Bureau. Booth spaces are $50 and there are additional fees for electricity and for a city food permit for food vendors. The deadline for vendor space is Sept. 30.
For history lovers, the Ennis Railroad and Cultural Heritage Museum will be open during the festival.
The Ennis Railroad and Cultural Heritage Museum is located at 105 N.E. Main St.
