ELLIS COUNTY – The Ellis County Sheriff’s Office is continuing their commitment to the safety of the children in the county by working alongside the National Drug and Safety League and National Child Safety Council on a new project, generating educational hand outs to the children and community.

A 24-page activity manual, brochures, pamphlets, badges and stickers have been selected to use throughout the county.

Covering such topics as peer pressure, gang prevention, drug education stranger danger, neighborhood safety, conflict resolution, internet safety and more.

"We feel these materials will be extremely effective and well-received," said Johnny Brown, sheriff.

As a local business owner or manager you may help with a tax deductible donation. In appreciation for becoming a donor, your name or business name will be listed on the materials distributed throughout your community.

To make a donation or for more information contact deputy Nathan Bickerstaff at 972-921-4400 or nathan.bick erstaff @co.ellis.tx.us.
