Fourth Degree and Benefiting Scholarships hosts dinner

 

Chicken fried steak dinner will be at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Ennis from11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dinners consist of chicken fried steak with all the trimmings including dessert, tea and coffee, all sponsored by The Fourth Degree and Benefiting Scholarships. Carry-outs will be available and the public is invited to attend. All dinners are $7.

The Knit and Crochet Group meeting every Tuesday, from 9:30 until 11 a.m. at the Fellowship Hall in the First United Methodist Church, located at 101 Redbud in Ferris. Whether you are an experienced knitter or crocheter or just wanting to learn, everyone is welcome to join. There is an active Prayer Shawl Ministry and you can share patterns, advice and fellowship. New Hawaiian Falls Mansfield hires for Summer 2008

 

Persons 15 and older are invited to several job fairs being held by the new Hawaiian Falls water park located at 490 Heritage Parkway, just off Highway 360, near the Big League Dreams park. The water park is now hiring lifeguards, supervisors, ride attendants, cashiers, ticket takers, cooks, housekeeping and maintenance workers for the 2008 summer season. The job fair will be from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Download an application at www.hawaiianfalls.com and apply and interview the same day.

Methodist Health System holds mobile mammography

 

Methodist Health System’s mobile mammography van will offer mammograms at Methodist Midlothian Imaging Center. Women age 35 and older with no breast implants or current breast problems are encouraged to be screened. Methodist accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicare Part B and Medicaid. Without insurance, the mammogram costs $111.65. Payment is due at the time of service and payable by cash, check, Visa or MasterCArd. Appointments are required. To schedule an appointment, call 972-775-7410. Methodist Midlothian Imaging Center is located at 2210 Bryan Place.

Teen Movie Saturday will be from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the library meeting room for ages 11-18. This month’s feature movie stars John Cusack, Amanda Peet and Joan Cusack. Bring a friend to enjoy popcorn and a movie.
