Caring Hands of Bristol is holding a Bristol Bunny Breakfast fro, 8 to 10 a.m. Breakfast, pictures with the Easter Bunny and an Easter Egg Hunt will all be at the Old School House in Bristol.

Knit and Crochet Group

The Knit and Crochet Group meeting every Tuesday, from 9:30 until 11 a.m. at the Fellowship Hall in the First United Methodist Church, located at 101 Redbud in Ferris. Whether you are an experienced knitter or crocheter or just wanting to learn, everyone is welcome to join.

New Hawaiian Falls Mansfield hires for Summer 2008

Persons 15 and older are invited to several job fairs being held by the new Hawaiian Falls water park located at 490 Heritage Parkway, just off Highway 360, near the Big League Dreams park.

The water park is now hiring lifeguards, supervisors, ride attendants, cashiers, ticket takers, cooks, housekeeping and maintenance workers for the 2008 summer season. The job fair will be from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Download an application at www.hawaiianfalls.com and apply and interview the same day.

Baylor holds mammograms

The Baylor Sammons Mobile Breast Imaging Center will be at the Midlothian ISD Administration Building to perform screening mammograms from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Fifth Sunday at Sardis Gospel Singing

There are five Sundays in March and that means it is time for another great fifth Sunday at Sardis Gospel Singing.

Everyone is invited to participate in one of the oldest Gospel singings in Ellis County and enjoy some of the greatest talent ever to sing praises to the Lord.

The fun and fellowship will begin at 6 p.m. There will be a break at around 7:30 p.m. and snacks will be available for everyone. After the break, the singing will continue until around 9 p.m.

If you cannot make it to the church, you can listen live on KBEC Radio at 1390 on your AM dial.

Community wide easter egg hunt hosted by First

The First Baptist Church of Palmer will be hosting the first annual Community Wide Easter Egg Hunt at the Palmer High School Bulldog Stadium from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There will be lots to do for people of all ages. Bounce houses, games, crafts, Giant Egg Hunt and free food consisting of hot dogs, chips and drinks. All children through the sixth grade can participate in the egg hunt.

Meals-on-Wheels needs caring volunteers to help deliver meals to the homebound elderly in your community.

Empowering Word Christian Center presents Easter in the Park at the Red Oak Park across from the Red Oak Middle School. Activities will start at 11 a.m. and include an outdoor church service, a bounce house, Easter egg hunt, lunch and more.

Navarro College holds seminar of how to get government contracts

Navarro Small Business Development Center will sponsor a combination workshop from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Prosperity Bank Conference Room in Red Oak.

This seminar will show the government contracting process at the federal, state and local level is simple.

The workshop is being offered for $40 to the first 15 registrants and $75 after that.

The speaker will be available for free counseling for two hours after the seminar. To register, call 972-937-2174

Digger Davis & Tombstone holds benefit concert

The Digger Davis & Tombstone band will host a benefit concert at the Lone Star Cowboy Church.

Teens, ages 13-18, are getting together 4 – 5 p.m. to complete the blue jean pillows they began earlier this month. Snacks are provided.

Rainbow Girl holds bake sale

Waxahachie Rainbow Girl Assy. #352 will be holding a bake sale fundraiser at the Carter Blood Drive in the Walmart parking lot from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event is sponsored by the Waxahachie Masonic Lodge #90. Proceeds will benefit the local Rainbow Girl Philanthropic Activities.
