I would like to talk about a veteran owned business called Disappear Gear®. The company is quite a story in itself.  The founder of Disappear Gear® is Ken A. Price. Ken relayed that growing up as a boy he developed a lifelong dream of becoming a U.S. Marine.

In 1994, after graduating high school, he enlisted in the Marine Corps, raised his right hand and swore to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. Since then Ken has been around the world a few times, and he has seen and done a lot.

He is also aware that he has not seen it all or done it all and he believes that he owes everything he has to the Marine Corps. He has discovered a whole lot more than he bargained for in those years of his life and as a result he has nothing but confidence, heart and pride running through his blood.

While serving this great country of ours I learned the skill of building the ultimate in camouflage, concealment and deception—the Ghillie Suit. I have been building Ghillie suits for some time now, for individuals who game hunt, predator hunt, waterfowl hunt, wildlife photographers, paintball warriors and professional designated marksmen.

When I recognized the demand for these Ghillie Suits were increasing I decided to start Disappear Gear® to meet those needs. While searching for the perfect name I asked myself, what exactly does a Ghillie Suit do? Plain and simple – you disappear, and so Disappear Gear® was born!

Next on the agenda was a company logo that captured the energy of the company. I wanted something clean, but aggressive, cartoonish but still meant business. That’s when I met John Bridegroom from VegetableMan Graphics. He created some logos that had the edge and energy I needed. At first these were just for my own personal use, but when everyone saw the design on my own shirts, they wanted some for themselves! Before I knew it I was in the apparel business… I thought the images might be somewhat disturbing to most but apparently I was wrong, and thankfully for Disappear Gear®, I was!
