Save money on Medicare drug costs and medical care
Submitted by Meals-on-Wheels
Are you a Medicare recipient?
You may be able to reduce your Medicare costs by taking advantage of two important Medicare programs.
In conjunction with the Area Agency on Aging, Meals-on-Wheels of Johnson and Ellis Counties introduces the Extra Help program for qualifying Medicare beneficiaries.
The Extra Help program reduces your out-of-pocket expenses for prescription drugs.
The Medicare Savings Programs pay some or all of the cost of Medicare medical coverage.
Extra Help may pay your monthly drug plan premium, annual deductible, and some or all of your copayments for prescription drugs.
The Medicare Savings Programs pay some or all of the Medicare Part A and B premiums, deductibles and coinsurances.
You must have limited income and resources to qualify.
To find out if you are eligible for one or both programs, contact the North Central Texas Area Agency on Aging at 1-800-272-3921.
The North Central Texas of Governments (NCTCOG) is a voluntary association of local governments (counties, cities, school districts, and special districts) established in 1966 to assist local governments in planning for common needs, cooperating for mutual benefit, and recognizing regional opportunities for improving the quality of life for the citizen of North Central Texas.
