Ron Bunch of Waxahachie named Chair of Commission for Lawyer Discipline
AUSTIN – Ronald E. Bunch of Waxahachie has been named chair of the Commission for Lawyer Discipline.
The commission is a standing committee of the State Bar of Texas which provides oversight to the Chief Disciplinary Counsel and administers the attorney discipline system.
The commission is composed of 12 members: six attorneys appointed by the president of the State Bar and six public members appointed by the Supreme Court of Texas.
Bunch is a sole practitioner who focuses on personal injury and criminal law.
A past president of the Ellis County Bar Association, Bunch has served on the State Bar of Texas Board of Directors, the Unauthorized Practice of Law Subcommittee, and as chair of the State Bar Local Bar Services Committee.
He has served as vice chair of the Commission for Lawyer Discipline since 2009.
He is a graduate of Baylor Law School.
