Holcim celebrates safety milestone; Midlothian facility marks 6 years without a lost time injury
MIDLOTHIAN - Holcim (US) Inc. announced Monday, June 13, its distribution facility in Midlothian reached a milestone in employee safety in May 2011, marking six consecutive years without a lost time injury.
“Six years without a lost time injury is a testament to the universal safety measures employed at Holcim facilities,” said Chester Holley, Midlothian Geocycle’s facility manager.
“Our employees are highly skilled and receive the necessary training and support to ensure that they remain healthy and safe.”
“Our first priority is to the health and safety of our employees, contractors and visitors,” said Bernard Terver, president and chief executive officer of Holcim (US).
“Holcim wants each employee to return home safe each day.
“We work to achieve this goal by implementing appropriate safety procedures and properly training our employees in the most effective safety measures.”
