WAXAHACHIE – The Republican Party of Ellis County is on the move.   According to a press release issued by Chair Dan Davis, they are ramping up their efforts for the 2012 election season, starting with a fundraising event Friday, June 24 at 5:30 p.m. held in the Waxahachie Civic Center, located on the Southeast corner of US 287 and Interstate Highway 35E.

The event will have two featured speakers; Michael Williams, candidate for the U.S. 33rd Congressional District and Nick Adams, author of “The Greatest Good.” Both will be speaking on the topic of “American Exceptionalism”.

Following the opening ceremony, the attendees will enjoy barbecue to live entertainment provided by the “Roundup” band.

Davis stated there will be a silent auction and a live auction of donated items.

“The public is invited to come out, enjoy a fun evening of good food, and entertainment as they celebrate ‘American Exceptionalism,’” stated Davis. Admission is $35 per person and can be purchased at the door or from any precinct chairman, or by calling 214-399-6759.
