Glen Moore retiring after 35+ years of service

ELLIS COUNTY - Glen Moore, Integrated Pest Management, Extension Agent – Ellis/Navarro counties is retiring on Tuesday, May 31.

Moore has been the IPM Agent for the Texas AgriLife Extension Service since March 1976. 

In his career with Extension he has been recognized for many accomplishments! The Vice Chancellor Award, Distinguished Service Award, 2 Outstanding County Agent Awards, Excellence in IPM Award, Communications Award, Clean Texas 2000 Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence in Agriculture, State of Texas, Certificate of Meritorious Service, & Mentor Award.

During Moore’s tenure he has performed invaluable duties as the “IPM” agent so that farmers, ranchers and homeowners might learn the latest scientific, research-based information and incorporate these practices into use for the improvement of their quality of life.

While serving Ellis/Navarro counties, Moore has been a mainstay and inspiration in the operations and lives of numerous families and his years of dedicated service to the residents of Ellis County will remain an example of dedication and integrity. 

Moore will retire and spend more time with his family, his wife, Lynn, son and daughter, Cody and Grace.

A reception for Glen Moore will be held on Tuesday, May 31 at 2 p.m. at the Ellis County Extension Office Conference Room, with the Extension Staff and Master Gardeners as hosts. 

All are invited to stop by and wish him well in his retirement.
