City breaks ground on new library

City Staff, Mayor and Members of the Council and Library Board came out to help break ground Saturday, April 30 at 9 a.m. for the new Ferris Public Library 7,200 square foot expansion. This January, the city received 18 qualified bids, with the low bid being submitted by Modern Contractors out of Bedford for $850,000.  City Manager Eric Strong said the new building should be complete in about six to seven months.
