CEDAR HILL – The Cedar Hill Lions Club Charities, Inc.’s annual pancake breakfast will be 7 - 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 26 at Good Shepherd Church, 915 Old Straus Road in Cedar Hill.

Cost is $5 and buys unlimited pancakes, sausage and beverages.

There also will be a silent auction and door prizes.

Please visit http://lionsclubcedarhill.com or e-mail smborth@aol.com for more information about the auction.

"This will be our ninth consecutive year for the pancake breakfast," said Frankie Lee, who is co-chairing the event and was Cedar Hill’s city secretary for more than 24 years.

"The pancake breakfast gets better and better every time."

Lee is co-chairing the pancake breakfast with Allison Thompson, the economic development director for the city of Cedar Hill.

Sheri Borth, the Cedar Hill Lions Club president, said this is one of the Lions’ main fundraisers.

It allows the group to fund many of its community projects, such as eye examinations, new glasses for children and scholarships, among other programs.

"We provide an opportunity for lots of folks to socialize. Lots of door prizes are given out during the breakfast," said Borth. "Our silent auction is a big hit for bargain shoppers."
