6 WHS band students earn All State Honors

WAXAHACHIE - Senior Taylor Wright (Percussion), Senior Victoria Guajardo (Flute), Senior Jack Ansell (Bass Trombone) and Junior Nicholas Lopez (Bb Clarinet) qualified for their second All-State Band appearances. Senior Reed White (Trumpet) and Freshman Caleb Neal (Alto Saxophone) qualified for their first All-State Band appearance.

These students will travel to San Antonio in February to participate with the 4A All-State band clinic and concert with students from all over the state of Texas.

Earning All-State recognition is the highest possible music achievement for Texas high school band students.

Less than 1 percent of all high school musicians in Texas accomplish this feat.
