The Navarro College Players will perform the play, "A Star is Reborn," at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 3, and Saturday, Dec. 4, at the First Baptist Church in Midlothian, located at 1651 S. Midlothian Pkwy.

"A Star is Reborn" tells the story of Star Jacobs, a young woman who no longer celebrates Christmas due to a life-changing event on one Christmas Eve.

Despite the best efforts of her friends, Jacobs is unable to embrace the truth of our greatest holiday. Left alone on Christmas Eve, Jacobs imagines what life would be like without her gifts.

"It’s great to see so many students from Ellis County do such fine work," said Navarro College Midlothian campus Dean, Dr. Cubie Ward. "Our community has really been supportive of our drama program."

Cast members include Steve Maclin, faculty, along with students Anna Austin from Venus; Chris Craft from Waxahachie; Lindsay England from Arlington; Aaron Estep from Alvarado; Tiffany Fisher from Midlothian; Kelsea Garcia from Venus; Cindy Gray from Cedar Hill; Katelyn Harrison from Midlothian; Holly Ross from Midlothian; Todd Sims from Ovilla; Samuel Stanley from Midlothian; Matthew Stokes from Midlothian; Tapley Strange from Waxahachie; Dakoda Taylor from Midlothian; Ashley Turk from Ovilla; and Jaci Young from Waxahachie.

A Christmas social with carolers will begin at 7 p.m., along with a visit from a very special guest for children. Please join the Navarro College Players for an evening of holiday cheer.
