15th Annual Country Reporter Festival this Saturday

WAXAHACHIE - Bob Philip’s Texas Country Reporter Festival will be held around the historic courthouse square in downtown Waxahachie this Saturday, Oct. 23 from 9 a.m.- 7 p.m.

Bob Phillips will kick-off the festival at 10 a.m. with a grand entry into the city.

More than 300 booths will be set-up with artists, craftsmen, food, entertainment and alumni from the Texas Country Reporter series.

Visitors can expect to be entertained all day, including a free concert by 60s rock band The Grass Roots, famous for the hit, "Midnight Confessions."

Other special guests scheduled to perform throughout the day include: the Prairie Dogs of Amarillo; Brian Houser, Merry and the Mood Swings, Dooney, the gospel rapper; Blues Boy Willie and David Hartwig with his performing dog and horse.

Not only will there be a wide variety of vendors and entertainment, there will also be an autograph area to meet and greet with Bob Phillips, personalities from CBS 11, TXA 21, 98.7 KLUV and some of the featured musical guest.
