Lancaster: Oktoberfest is coming

LANCASTER – Oktoberfest is coming to Lancaster Friday Oct. 8 and Saturday, Oct. 9. New this year, is Opera.

Jennifer Sowle, professional singer and graduate of the University of North Texas will be providing the entertainment.

In addition to leading the crowd in the traditional rousing tunes associated with Oktoberfest, Sowle will be singing selections from various German opera and art songs, adding "a bit of classical touch to Oktoberfest this year, providing something for everyone," said Peggy Smith

Sowle is a professional singer, model and actress, with TV and commercial experience. Currently, she is recording a new opera, "The Dawn" by Kurtz Frausun, and singing with the Regal Opera Company while teacheing professional voice and flute lessons.
