Lancaster: City hosts back to school weekend event

LANCASTER – Second Saturday on the Square is expected to be full of children receiving free school supplies and free haircuts with its back to school themed celebration.

This Saturday, Aug. 14 at the Lancaster Town Square from 10 a.m – 4 p.m., the chamber has partnered with In The Door Advertising, Antioch Christian Fellowship, Open Door Church of God in Christ, shop owners on the square and Grandy’s of Lancaster to supply the community with what they need.

Free supplies are available with proof of your child being currently enrolled in school.

Come early, supplies are limited.

The event is free to the public and make sure to bring the talent with you because the BSW Idol auditions will be held during the same day.

In the month of September, a tribute to 9-11 is expected along with hosting of the finals from BSW Idol.
