3.3 Presentation of FY 2010-2011 funding request for the Ellis County Historical Commission.

3.4 Consideration and action as appropriate to approve a two year term of Presiding Judges and Alternate Judges, (Election Code, Sec 32.001, Sec. 32.002). The two year term begins on September 1, 2010 and ends on August 30, 2012. The County Chairs of the political parties whose candidate for governor received the highest and second highest number of votes in the county in the 2006 gubernatorial election must submit a list to the Commissioners’ Court naming persons in order of preference who are eligible for appointment as a presiding or alternate judge in each county election precinct who are affiliated or aligned with the County Chair’s political party. Precincts 113, 115, 123, 124 & 141 voted more Democratic for Governor. All other voting precinct voted more Republican for Governor.

3. 5 Consider and action to approve an agreement to contract an election with (1) Buena Vista Bethel Special Utility District and (2) Avalon Independent School District for their November 2, 2010 General Election.
3. 6 Consideration and action to order a General Election to be held on November 2, 2010 for the purpose of electing county and precinct officers as required by Article XVI, Section 65 of the Texas Constitution.

3.9 Consideration and action to approve final amendment to existing Intergovernmental Cooperative Reimbursement Agreement Between the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and Ellis County (contract #582-8-89953). The Local Initiatives Program (LIP) grant relates to expenditure of Low Income Vehicle Repair Assistance, Retrofit, and Accelerated Vehicle Retirement Program (LIRAP) funds for LIP under Texas Health and Safety Code Section 382.220.
