GOP Takes 8-Point Lead Over Democrats in Congressional Vote Preference

Obama Approval Rating at 43%

UTICA, New York - Republicans have taken a 46%-38% lead over Democrats on the question of which party's candidates for Congress likely voters say they will support in November. The same poll finds President Barack Obama's approval rating at 43%.

The July 27-29, 2010 interactive survey of 2,389 likely voters also finds the percentage of likely voters saying the nation is on the wrong track at 60%.
