Relay for the Cure raises nearly $70k

More than 600 participated in the Relay for the Cure held at the Texas Motorplex in Ennis. Christen Vick, school board member for Palmer Independent School District, walked 46 miles during the event which lasted from 6 p.m. Friday, April 30 – 6 a.m. Saturday, May 1. The luminaria ceremony is an opportunity for people to come together and remember loved ones lost to cancer and honor those who have won their battle. The event raised $69,742.92 with more than 50 teams participating.
