Structure Fire in Bristol off FM 660 and Stacks Road saw assistance from Ferris and Palmer fire departments around 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, April 7. Ellis County Fire Marshal Jim Pharr stated "There was an electrical short in the drop wire to the house that back fed electricity in the meter base and wiring causing the fire. " The house was built around 1900 and was unoccupied, with no reported injuries.
