2 Ferris businesses burglarized

ECSO investigators working the roof of David's Market around 9:45 a.m.
FERRIS - At 5:50 a.m. a long time employee of David's Grocery noticed the store had been broken into and called the local police department.
Only to discover soon after Dollar General had been as well.
"There was $3,000 worth of cigarettes stolen and $300 cash from David's," said Ferris Investigator Sam Love.
"They [the suspects] stole the safe deposit box at Dollar General which contained $1,500 cash."
Eight holes were cut on the roof of David's and one around the back.
Dollar general had at least one hole on the roof and one around the back of the building as well according to a deputy working the scene.
Love said Ellis County Sheriff Office Crime Scene Investigators have been called to work the roof and the details of the incident will be released once the investigation is complete.
