Glenn Heights annual clean up held April 9-10

GLENN HEIGHTS - The city of Glenn Heights will be holding its annual Spring Clean Up on Friday, April 9 and Saturday, April 10. The Clean Up will begin each day at 8 a.m. and the gates will be closed daily at 6 p.m. The annual event again will be held at the Municipal Services complex, which is located at 2118 South Uhl Road, in Glenn Heights. The Clean Up is a service for all citizens of Glenn Heights. Proof of residency will be required prior to entry into drop off site.

Items to be accepted include: construction debris, brush, tree limbs, tires, trash, scrap metal and most other debris. On Saturday, a paper shredder and E destruction will be available for citizens to safely and securely discard paper and electronic items, such as computers and computer monitors. Items prohibited from being accepted include: hazardous or toxic waste, television screens, petroleum products, wet paint, hazardous chemicals, and fluorescent light bulbs.

Appliances such as air conditioners and refrigerators must possess evidence, generally a sticker, that the Freon or refrigerant has been removed before it will be accepted. All citizens are encouraged to take advantage of this annual service.
