Ferris debate team qualifies for state

FERRIS – For the first time in the history of the school district, the Ferris High School debate team qualified for state.

Junior Tyler Maass and Sophomore Tyler Crippin placed first in the district meet on Feb. 4.

Junior Sydnee Erickson and Sophomore Noah Shields received 3rd place making them an alternate to state.

This is only the second year for Ferris to compete in the cross examination debate.

The team is coached by Allison Davis, a graduate of Ferris, and Wayne Anthony, a graduate of Crandall.
