Will the economy sizzle, fizzle or at least show signs of a real recovery in 2010?
The Board of Governors and Federal Reserve Banks have projected that the economy will grow by 2.5-3.5% this year with a slight decline in unemployment.
The Small Business Administration claimed in its 2009 third quarter report that the economy was already showing signs of recovery with SBA lending to small businesses up dramatically.
So why does access to capital seem to be getting more and more difficult for small businesses? It's still a tough economy especially if you need financing to start, stabilize or grow a small business. Small businesses are the Backbone of America, and they have a major impact on our local, state and national economy.
This presentation will cover how to determine the health of your community using economic indicators at the local level, types of financing for small businesses, why so many small businesses are not bankable, and what can be done about it.
