TxDOT Prepared for Potential Snow and Ice
Maintenance crews on alert as winter weather approaches
DALLAS COUNTY - Maintenance crews for the Texas Department of Transportation are on alert and paying close attention to the approaching storm. As weather conditions change TxDOT crews will adjust their methods and materials to try and keep the roads open and safe during the storm; however, when a storm hits, no one can guarantee ice and snow-free roadways.
Motorists must always be cautious and are strongly encouraged to “know before you go.”

Due to uncertainties on the direction and severity of the storm, residents across North Texas are encouraged to monitor the latest forecasts, and be prepared. During severe winter storms drivers should first consider delaying trips that are not absolutely necessary. If travel is necessary, allow more time and “know on the road.”
