TxDOT Works on South Central

Texas Department of Transportation Crews Working on South Central, also known as Business 45 in Ferris after the winter weather blast placed them behind two weeks according to John Kiser, a representative from the Waxahachie TxDOT office. This past week started the leveling of a concrete/ asphalt mix which will then be layered with oil and a fabric mat that helps seal followed by a final asphalt overlay placed down to finish it off. "I estimate around the end of February we should be completely done with the project, that’s final paving and striping of the roads as well," said Kiser. The total bid amount for the Ferris projects amounts to $1,344,000.60.
