Ladies Tea and Fashion Show In Desoto

(DeSoto, Texas) –The DeSoto Chamber of Commerce will host its first annual Head Turning Hats: a Fair for Women event on Saturday, Oct. 24 at half past two in the afternoon. The event will be held at Community Missionary Baptist Church, 115 W Beltline Road, in DeSoto.

Patricia Coleman, Vice President and Director of Marketing for Bank of DeSoto and Chair of Head Turning Hats says, “This is a place where you can connect with other ladies in the community and build new friendships. The Chamber wanted to reach out to the entire city and surrounding area in order to build a bridge between the community and the business owners around them.” Event organizers have planned an afternoon of activities, including afternoon tea and a fashion show.

Table sponsors will decorate their own tables for a chance to win a trophy for Best Themed Table, Most Elegant Table and Most Unique Table. Event attendees are encouraged to win their favorite hat and will be eligible to win a trophy for Most Beautiful Hat, Most Unexpected Hat and Best Diva Hat. Judging will be done by Milla Perry Jones, Ramona Logan and the Hon. Helen Giddings.

Cancer survivors in attendance will each receive a special gift. All attendees will have an opportunity to shop at a variety of booths, including make-up, jewelry and fashion items.
