DeSoto PD make arrest in Labor Day murders

DESOTO – Police say a 38-year-old man is accused of murdering two men and leaving their bodies in a car parked near the entrance to a hiking trail.
According to authorities, Dwain Dutton was arrested on accusations of capital murder char-ges on Monday in Marshall, Texas. At the time of his arrest, Dutton was on parole for murder.
According to media reports, DeSoto Police Officer Capt. Ron Smith could not confirm the relationship between the accused and the victims.
The bodies of Cedric Johnson, 40, of Sachse, and David Perkins, 36, of Dallas, were found in a Toyota sedan Labor Day weekend by a passer-by in the 1800 block of West Wintergreen Road.
The car was parked in a small, secluded gravel lot at the entrance to one of the Windmill Hill Preserve Trails.
