Constable finally seeing day in court

Ennis – Constable Ben Fry, R- Ennis, is set to go on trial after several months of dodging on Oct. 5 in the 297th District Court.
Fry, who will be seeing his trial date for official oppression, was arrested and bailed out on a $750 bond for claims of reported assault at a Fort Worth Mexican food restaurant in April of last year.
Defense attorney Jim Lane will be go head to head with prosecuting attorney Barbara Griffin if this case gets heated.
Fry, pct. 1 constable, has refused to answer any questions regarding this ongoing case.
