Added Feature to Web site Helps to Prepare Citizens

DESOTO – The city of DeSoto recently added a new feature to its Web site.

The Emergency Alerts feature notifies citizens of road closings, water main breaks, floodings, etc.

When the alert is activated a flashing red button, found on the left of the screen, indicates an alert is in effect.

With one click of the flashing button, residents can read detailed information regarding the warning and better prepare themselves.

Residents can also sign up to receive e-mail anytime Emergency Alert is activated.
