The Midlothian Chamber of Commerce has announced the theme for this year’s Auction:  Shuffle Up and Deal.

Shuffle Up and Deal, scheduled for Saturday, September 12, will include a Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament, Texas Wine Tasting event, casino games, live and silent auction, and a night of friends, music, fun and support of the Chamber.

The event will begin at 5 p.m. when the doors at the Midlothian Conference Center open to the expected crowd of more than 300 anticipated to turn out for this event that has long been a tradition for the residents of Midlothian.

Tickets for the event are $40 in advance, $50 at the door, and will gain entry into either the Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament or the Casino Games; however, entry into the Tournament must be registered prior to the evening of the event.  Tournament entry is limited to the first 144 players only.

Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served and the attire will be casual.  Attendees do not have to be Chamber members.

During the evening, a drawing will be held for a 55 inch TV and a Blu-ray entertainment package, sponsored by Holcim.  To enter the raffle, contact the Chamber office either prior to the event, or purchase a chance to win during the Auction on September 12.  The winner does not have to be present.

Donations to the silent and live auction are being collected, and a list of items will be posted on the Chamber’s website at www.midlothianchamber.org.

Additional sponsors for this year’s event include:  Citizens National Bank of Texas, Gerdau Ameristeel, Shermco Industries, First Financial Bank, NA, Methodist Health System, TXI, Vintage Bank, Oncor Electric Delivery, Living Magazine, Midlothian Energy Limited Partnership, Linebarger Goggan Blair and Sampson, LLP, Navarro College, Nickel Property and Susan Mason.  The Texas Wine Tasting Event is being hosted by Kegs and Corks.
