The city of Lancaster presented the official grand opening of its new public works building July 30. Attendees received tours of the 50,000 square foot facility which houses police and fire departments. Mayor Marcus Knight thanked citizens for their support in the construction of the building along with past and present members of the Lancaster City Council. The building is a product of a 2005 bond election.
