$8,800 in stolen goods recovered

ENNIS – An estimated $8,800 worth of various firearms were recovered at the Silver Creek apartment complex on the 2100 block of Farm to Market Road 85.
Ellis County Sheriff deputies and Ennis Police Department executed a search warrant Thursday, July 23 where deputies recovered several weapons, including assault rifles, stereo equipment and a small amount of marijuana.
Information obtained from witnesses and suspects arrested at the scene, led authorities to residences in Ferris and Wilmer where additional recoveries were made the following day.
The firearms recovered are confirmed to be ones taken in several burglaries in and around Ennis.
Arrest warrants are being issued for several people involved in the burglaries, as well as additional arrest warrants being processed for possession of stolen property.
Those arrested during the execution of the warrant are Mayra Mendoza ,19 and Daniela Livar, 19, from Ennis.
Both suspects were taken before a magistrate on charges of possession of marijuana under two ounces and theft over $1,500 and under $20,000 for possession of stolen property.
Justice of the Peace 3 Curtis Polk set bonds totaling $16,000 each.
