Closures Scheduled for I-20 at Lancaster Road (SH 342)

DALLAS COUNTY - The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will close various lanes on east and westbound IH 20 at Lancaster Road (SH 342) beginning Thursday, July 23 at 8 p.m. and ending Friday, July 24 at 5 am.
The Texas Department of Transportation will allow multiple lane closures on east and westbound I-20 at Lancaster Road (SH 342) beginning Thursday, July 23 at 8 p.m. and ending Friday, July 24 at 6 a.m.
The closures will vary from one-lane to full closure while contractor crews pour concrete for the new, U-turn bridge deck crossing I-20 at Lancaster Road.
Detour signs and police officers will be in place to guide motorists through the work zone. Message boards have been placed in advance to inform travelers of the pending road closures.
TxDOT would like to thank area drivers and local businesses for their continued patience and cooperation as Ed Bell construction crews work diligently to complete this project as soon and as safely as possible.
This $6.2 million bridge project is estimated to be complete by spring 2010.
