Gov. Perry Appoints Three to Council on Sex Offender Treatment

AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry has appointed three members to the Council on Sex Offender Treatment for terms to expire Feb. 1, 2015. The council develops and implements education policy concerning effective interventions and management of sex offenders.
He received a bachelor’s and master’s degree in criminal justice from California State University, a master’s degree in systems management from the University of Southern California and a law degree from South Texas College of Law. He replaces Glen Kercher of Huntsville.
Holly A. Miller of The Woodlands is a licensed clinical psychologist and sex offender treatment provider, and an assistant dean in the Sam Houston State University College of Criminal Justice. She is a member of the National Criminal Justice Association, Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences and Southwest Association of Criminal Justice. She is also a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters. Miller received a bachelor’s degree from Bethel College, a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Morehead State University and a doctorate in clinical psychology from Florida State University. She replaces Maria Molett of Garland.
