Coach, student misconduct still under investigation

WAXAHACHIE – Students allege sex between a coach and another female student since prom on WISDBlog.com.

Now with all focus from media, the school district is still working with authorities since the claims were brought forth to them on May 22.

According to a press release issued by the Waxahachie Independent School District, the alleged potential ‘misconduct’ of a student and teacher resulted in the employees immediate suspension with pay pending investigation into allegations of improper conduct involving a student.

WISD officials have notified the State Board Educator Certifications office and the Waxahachie Police Department.

Due to federal privacy laws, the district can not divulge the identity of the employee or student but will fully cooperate with law enforcement during the investigation.

The employee has subsequently resigned his position with the district.
