FERRIS - A fundraising event will be held Saturday, June 6 for Clint Cross.
Cross received massive head trauma when he missed a curve while driving on Highway 983 and hit a tree Feb. 5.
A broken clavicle, 50 staples and 40 stitches to the head and a two month stay at Parkland hospital later, he is able to be with his family again.
“He wakes up everyday a new person, he doesn’t know who or where he is,” said Patti Piccola, mom to Cross’ wife Shelli.
Cross who owned his own business for five years, Southern Door and Opener, hasn’t been able to work due to his injuries.
“He was a very hard worker and always made sure his wife and two kids, ages five and seven were taken care of,” said Piccola.
Friends helping Friends willhelp raise money for Cross and his family until they “can get back on their feet.”
Held at the One More Club on 1522 Malloy Bridge Circle, the event will be held from noon until close.
A raffle will be held for a 32-inch LCD screen HDTV, gift cards and cashat 8 p.m.
All items have been donated and everyone is invited to enjoy the music.
Food is available with a $5 donation.
