| If you're attending one of the TEA party tax protests today, you might want to know that local law enforcement has been warned to keep an eye on right-wing extremists. Last week, the Department of Homeland Security sent a nine-page memo to police departments nationwide about the threat posed by right-wing extremists. The DHS says the election of Barak Obama and the current recession create a quote "fertile environment" for recruitment and radicalization by right wing group and returning Iraq war veterans. The report failed to cite any groups or person by name and cited no specific instance of violence or even a credible threat. Up until last week, the DHS concentrated on threats posed to US citizens largely by Islamic terrorist groups. |
