2 dead bodies found in Ferris home

Two bodies were found inside a Ferris home at 404 S Church Street Monday around 1:15 p.m.

Police said a family member became concerned after he didn't hear from his brother Monday afternoon.

The man went to his brother's home and broke in through a window when no one answered.

Once inside, the man found his brother dead in the bedroom.

A female was also found in the bedroom with her throat slit.

"She appeared to have had defensive wounds on her legs,"  said Ferris Chief of Police Frank Mooney.

The male victim was found with deep stab wounds to his leg.

Identities of the two have not been released.

After finding the bodies, the brother flagged down a city employee who called police.

The Dallas County Medical Examiner was called by Ferris Police to "work the scene."
