Teen charged with killing his father

WAXAHACHIE – A 15-year-old Red Oak boy is in the Ellis County Detention Center, accused of killing his father.
Danny Eversole, 57, was shot to death in his home in Red Oak on Sunday.
Investigators believe the son wanted to kill Eversole because of an argument over a four-wheeler recreation vehicle.
It was reported that the son offered a friend $500 to kill Eversole.
A Waxahachie judge ordered drug testing and psychological evaluation for the boy.
A detention hearing is set for March 18.
