Ellis County Health and Fitness Expo Jan. 31

The American Fitness Instructors and Trainers Association is hosting the first annual Ellis County Health and Fitness Expo.

The Expo will be held at the Skills Net Building located at 3295 N. Highway 77; Waxahachie, TX 75165.


Beginning at 9 a.m. Jan. 31, The Expo will include speakers Nick Box with Edward Jones Financial speaking on Financial Fitness, followed at 11 a.m. by Dr. Melissa Hoffman “Staying young for the first 100 years” and at 12 noon Massage Therapist, Denise Tredway just to name a few!


Other speakers throughout the day will include such topics as: acupuncture, weight management, nutrition, fitness training, cardio health and many more including all day cooking demonstrations in our kitchen.


Hands-On and participatory demonstrations will be held both inside and outside the building and include demonstrations by Flip Fusion- gymnastic studio that will include a gymnastic circuit for all kids who come.

Also to be included in the demonstrations are Les Mills’ Body Pump, Jazzercise, Zumba, and WII Fitness as well as outside demonstrations for sports clinics, kite flying, and the Waxahachie Fire Department.


Other events at the Expo will include well checks by area nurses and fitness professionals such as: blood pressure, diabetes testing, body fat and body age testing.


The Waxahachie Senior Center, Hunters Cove and Bethany Home Care will also be participating to introduce their staff and variety of programs.


The Expo will begin at 9 a.m.and end at 6 p.m. and is FREE to the public.
