FERRIS- The Ferris Police Department will be hosting its 2008 Christmas Toy Drive from Dec.1-19.

You may donate any new, unwrapped toy during this time at the FPD located at 201 S. Church St, the city hall, and the city finance building.

Ferris Police Chief Frank Mooney, hopes to have this as an annual event to help families in the city.

During the week of Nov.22 officers will be dropping off the donated gifts to children in need whose families have registered for the toy distribution program at the police department.

"As this program grows each year, so will the commitment of Ferris Police Officers to bring joy to less fortunate city children.  Delivering Christmas toys to city children will become a holiday tradition for our officers, and, I believe, exemplifies the true spirit of holiday giving.” Said Mooney.
