Shaw Creek residents recently met after forming a crime watch in their neighborhood with the assistance of Ferris Police Investigator Sam Love. At least 34 residents attended this months’ meeting and another is scheduled in December. Residents are encouraged to contact their block captains, if they have one. Neighbors are encouraged to get to know one another, beside, behind and across the street and not to be afraid to call police when something seems suspicious. Neighborhood Crime Watch community game plan is to; create awareness, organize citizens, coordinate with law enforcement, identify concerns, issues or problems, develop strategies, train and action steps.
