Food pantry to distribute items in PISD

PALMER – The First Assembly of God is collecting items for their food pantry in hopes of providing the items to families living inside the Palmer Independent School District boundaries.

The church, located at 1155 N. Interstate Highway 45 near Commercial State Bank, has drop-off locations for families at Jenny’s Café, Two Turtle Doves and the donut shop in town.

Non-perishable food items such as cereal, box meals and other food will be accepted.

The church is currently in the process of trying to obtain a refrigerator to store cold food.
