CareFlite responds to 2 vehicle collision with 9 patients
(Ferris, Texas) In its first 911 response in Ellis County Emergency Service District #5, CareFlite responded to a two vehicle collision Sunday evening, November 2nd. CareFlite was assisting the Ferris Fire Department. There were a total of 7 pediatric and 2 adult patients. Working with the Ferris and Wilmer Fire Departments, CareFlite transported a total of four patients, two by helicopter and two by ground ambulance.
CareFlite assumed responsibility for 911/EMS in Ellis County ESD#2 the previous day, Nov. 1.
Based at Ferris Fire Station #2, CareFlite provides Advanced Life Support ground ambulance service in ESD #2 outside the City of Ferris. This ambulance is part of CareFlite’s ground ambulance service which consists of a total of 26 ground ambulances during times of peak demand in the region. Since it’s founding in 1980, CareFlite has transported over 337,000 patients by ground ambulance.
