Mayor resigns

Don Hudson resigned as mayor Tuesday, Sept. 30 after having "signed-off" on his new home in Palmer.
In a statement issued by the City of Wilmer, Hudson is no longer eligible to serve as mayor.
Duties of the mayor have been transferred to Matias Leal, mayor pro tem, until the city council appoints a new mayor.
