Homecoming Parade kicks off three days of school spirit

FERRIS-  The Ferris Yellow Jackets and Ferris Independent School District will be kicking off their 2008 Homecoming parade and community pep rally Thursday, Sept. 18 at 7 p.m.

 

The parade route will start at Ingram Elementary and convene at Yellow Jacket Stadium for the community pep rally and “ Burning of the Letters.”

 

If interested in entering a float please contact FISD PD Chief Cory Morrison at 972-544-3737 or Officer John Julin at 972-544-2279. You must be 21 or older to ride a horse or any sort of motorized vehicle in the parade.

 

Don’t forget to come down and support Head Coach Randy Burns and the Ferris Yellow Jacket varsity football team take on the Tigers of Trinity Christian Friday, Sept.19.

 

 While you’re there be sure to show off your school pride by stopping by and visiting the Pro Shop for your official Yellow Jacket merchandise. Wear it loud and proud!

 

The three day celebration concludes for all high school students with the annual homecoming dance from 8 p.m.-12 a.m.  Proper dress attire is required.
