County Judge Issues Declaration of Disaster
Ellis County Judge Chad Adams issued a Declaration of Disaster on Sept. 11, in anticipation of the need to provide safe shelter for evacuees threatened by Hurricane Ike.
Earlier this week officials began planning to receive those individuals who make the decision to move themselves and their families to safety.
